In short: FontSnap does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. All font detection happens locally in your browser.

When you click the FontSnap icon on a webpage, the extension reads publicly available style information from that page, including:

This information is read directly from the page's rendered styles using standard browser APIs. FontSnap does not read page content unrelated to typography, and does not access form fields, passwords, cookies, or personal identifiers.

2. What FontSnap Does Not Do

3. Local Storage

FontSnap may use Chrome's local storage API to remember your extension preferences and UI settings (such as the last-used display options) between sessions. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted anywhere, and is not linked to your identity.

4. Permissions Explained

5. Children's Privacy

FontSnap is a developer/design tool not directed at children, and it does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

6. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
